Check-in on the NCL Epic is similar to an airline check-in apart from getting your photo taken. We were issued a room key card which was also used for all purchases on board the cruise ship and was our ID card.
Balcony Cabins
When you’re there, you wouldn’t know that you’re on a cruise ship. The lounge is what you’d expect in the evenings and is adult-only starting around 9 pm. Other than serving the purpose of a bar, club, or lounge, Bliss is also used during the day for private events and gatherings. We booked our Norwegian Mediterranean Cruise with Air Canada Vacations as they offer so many advantages. The food quality is usually very good, a notable feature of NCL. Again, however, on a recent cruise, there were more misses than normal, especially in specialty dining. I believe this is temporary due to all of the supply chain issues. After a planned Transatlantic in December 2022 on the Epic, I’ll confirm if the dining has improved. While we don’t have children or travel with other couples who do, we’ve met plenty of families that love the activities on board the Epic. The Entourage Club is a great gathering space for teens / tweens with video games, consoles, etc.
These staterooms have a full size bed for one guest and a window view to the corridor. To help you navigate the ship and make the most of your cruise experience, the Norwegian Epic offers an orientation session. This session is led by the ship’s crew and provides valuable information on the ship’s layout, dining options, entertainment venues, and activities. During the orientation, you’ll receive a map of the ship and have any questions answered by the knowledgeable crew members.
We suggest you get there early if you want to see them on one of the other nights outside the theater. We watched The Beatles the first night in the theater, and then they played in one of the smaller lounges throughout the week. We had it on the Norwegian Pearl, which was fairly good, so we thought it would be the same. We were given a table right by the stage on the last night and had a fantastic meal with wonderful service. We had our embarkation lunch here, which should have been a sign of things to come – the food was tasteless.

The problem with this barbershop is that it’s open to everyone passing by it and not far from the casino. Don’t forget to pack these cruise items that will help enhance your cruise vacation. We now understand what makes this ship different from the others and noticed the service’s downfall compared to all our other cruises. We decided the itinerary was enough for us, and we’d judge the ship later.
